Kellie started her career as an apprentice in a local salon where she progressed to senior stylist and colour technician. She soon unearthed fervour for colour and celebrity looks, taking herself off to Manchester’s Wella Studios, attending various different colour courses she kept herself up to date with all the latest colour techniques and trends.
After 14 years in the area, Kellie’s adventurous spirit allured her to travel, during which she spent a year in Australia and New Zealand. Her fascination for colour was further enthused when she worked in what was her favourite city centre salon, Melbourne’s “Best Blonde” salon which specialised in colour re-design and creating the perfect blonde.
Since joining Helen Gee Hairdressing in September 2016, Kellie has applied herself to taking on new challenges and is committed to developing her hairdressing skills, continuously moving forward.

Helen’s career began with a Vidal Sassoon style training in precision cutting. From working as a stylist in a local salon Helen progressed to become the manager and then the owner. After several years Helen moved to London having been offered the opportunity to work for the legendary master of hair, John Frieda, at his London salon. During this time Helen developed her expertise and professionalism whilst working with a discerning and demanding clientele.
Her creativity was further inspired by working alongside other world class hair stylists and influential fashion designers at the fashion shows in London, Paris and Milan.
Creating new looks at the shows and styling hair at fashion shoots for glossy magazines such as Vogue, She, Company and Looks meant always being one step ahead of current trends.

Helen Gee Hairdressing was established in 2008; a very small boutique style salon in White Hart Yard. After 7 successful years, in November 2015 the salon expanded and moved to Market Street, Ulverston.
Helen believes that one of the most important factors of a clients' visit to the salon is the consultation, to ensure that the client receives the hairstyle that is most suitable.
”Communicating and connecting with the person in the chair is so important. We want to establish exactly what the person wants, needs and expects and sometimes that means enquiring further.”
Helen is passionate about giving an unsurpassed standard of service to each client. She is dedicated to striving for flair whilst maintaining a strong sense of integrity, giving genuine honest advice.
Helen offers services in cutting, blow-drying, colouring and styling.
Our philosophy: “Every client is a unique individual. Whilst it is important that a hairstyle is tailored to suit a client’s physical attributes, such as face shape and hair texture, it is equally important that it reflects their personality and lifestyle.”
